I have never worked out before and/or I have injuries and/or I am extremely overweight. Can I still join this boot camp?
Most certainly! Breakthrough Sports and Fitness specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level…at the same time. We can have a 65 year old with arthritic joints and a 25 year old with 5% body fat working out in the same group and both be challenged at their own level. You can be underweight, very overweight or obese, have had surgery, etc. As long as you have permission from your doctor of doing some form of exercise, you are ok to register. The registration forms ask if you have any conditions, once you hand it in, we are then aware of your conditions and can work with them during the workouts.
For some reason, we still get emails from people who ask if they can participate because they are overweight or have an injury. The answer will still be yes if you email us : )
The only instance (and we are not joking) that there might be an issue, is if you are missing a limb. In that case we would ask you to email us so we can discuss what you can/cannot do.
I am completely computer illiterate and do not know how to use email or the internet. Can you mail me your announcements, purchase my equipment for me, call me with reminders, etc?
Our program is deeply intertwined with the internet. We send all announcements via email rather frequently as well as any relevant information and forms. To do otherwise would mean we would need to hire someone to do that as it is very time consuming, and that cost would translate to a higher price of services for you. We do not feel that is fair to almost everyone else in the group who has no issue using their email. Therefore, if you cannot order the equipment online or go to a store yourself, or if you cannot check your email for announcements, this is probably not the program for you.
Who will be coaching me?
Your coach will be approved trainers who are all nationally certified and go through a rigorous training process. Primarily, Benson Manento, the founder of Breakthrough Sports and Fitness, will be coaching the boot camp.
How long is each session? How many sessions are there per week?
ALL workouts last 30 minutes in length. Below is our tried and proven rapid fat loss boot camp format:
Hotlanta Bodies Fit Camp 30-Minute EXPRESS Workout
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I. Personal Improvement Routine- 10-15 Minutes: This portion of the training session consists of performing any individual corrective stretching and/or self-massage for excessively sore or tight muscle groups. We highly encourage our clients to utilize this 10-15 minute time frame before the official start of the workout to maximize improvements in performance and to prevent both acute and chronic injuries in both the short-term and long-term.
MANDATORY
II. Pre-Workout Routine- 5 Minutes: This portion of the training session consists of warm-up exercises that are designed to properly prepare the body for the upcoming workout. Exercises range from prehab exercises designed to activate and strengthen commonly weak and underused muscles to movement prep exercises that seek to dynamically increase muscle flexibility and joint mobility.
III. Workout Routine- 20 Minutes: This portion of the training session consists of exercises organized in an alternating set format (supersets, trisets, or circuits) for total body workouts that are designed to stimulate maximal muscle-building and fat loss in minimal time. All exercises will be broken down into three major categories: strength, cardio, and core. Though it is highly recommend that you stay true to the Alternating Workout A and Workout B Training Split as outlined, you may select from an unlimited number of exercise variations within each prescribed movement pattern to add your own unique training personality to the workouts and to keep your workouts exciting, fun, and fresh!
IV. Post-Workout Routine- 5 Minutes: This portion of the training session consists of cool-down exercises that focus on corrective stretching and/or self-massage to dramatically improve muscle repair and recovery and to promote optimal muscle and joint health, both in the short-term and long-term.
OPTIONAL
V. Individual Q&A- 10-15 Minutes: This portion of the training session is made available for those clients needing and/or wanting extra special attention. We end each and every session reminding our clients that we are ALWAYS here to answer any questions or concerns about anything relating to their training, nutrition, or supplementation. This is critical because it allows you to provide that one-on-one personal training component to your large group workouts.

What is the cost of the Boot Camp?
The camps are set up in increments from 4-6 weeks and may vary depending on the time of season or school schedule. The down to $20 per workout. The cost for the camp for guarantee results is a requirement of 3xs per week. The 4-week Boot Camp is $250, a 5-week Boot Camp is $315 and a 6-week Boot Camp is $375. However, we do understand time and budget can be an issue so we do offer a package of twice per week as well.
Will I learn about nutrition?
Any good fitness professional knows that true fitness is achieved by not only great workouts, but also great nutrition. We here at Breakthrough Sports and Fitness know that all too well as we use a trademarked nutrition system that has helped hundreds of clients lose thousands of pounds. During our free seminar (date tba at the start of every new phase) we will give you the tools to get started on the right track towards a complete health and fitness transformation.
What do I bring to the camp?
You will need a mat or long towel for floor exercises, flex bands, a pair of dumbbells (10-15lbs females, 20-30lbs, males) a foam roll and or a tennis ball. We may ask you to get a stability ball, but you’ll be told when it’s needed. These are one-time investments that you will be able to use at every camp. We provide the proper suppliers for these pieces of equipment for your convenience, If you are participating in the trial week it is your decision if you want to go ahead and purchase the equipment right away. You may already own some pieces which is great and bring that stuff right away. If you want to wait a week to see if you like the program before you purchase, you may, but we cannot guarantee that we will have equipment for you there or that people will be willing to share their equipment with you.
Where are the boot camps held?
Our Camps are held in North Atlanta on the outdoor green space of Charles McDaniel Park. This is convienant for those located near Briarcliff, Clairmont, Lenox Rd, Buckhead, Brookhaven, Midtown, Atlantic Stations, Norcross, Dunwoody, Doraville, Toco Hills, Decatur, Emory, Embry Hills, We're currently looking to move our camps indoor during the chilly winter days. The place is at the Salvation Army and Atlanta Temple Wellness Center located off I85 and N. Druid Hills.
When I think boot camp, I think of a drill sergeant screaming in my ear. Is this the style of training I will undergo?
When we refer to “boot camps”, we mean high physical intensity and group training. What we don’t mean is being aggressive or demeaning in any way. We will push you, but never through intimidation. As we get to know our clients, we learn what type of encouragement each individual prefers and try our best to cater to that. For some, that may be a pat on the shoulder, for others that may need a little tough love ; ).
What is your refund policy?
If you notify us prior to the camp’s start date, you will receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. If it is after a camp has started, we can only credit you for a future boot camp of the same duration. The credit is non-transferable. There are no exceptions.
What do I wear to the boot camps?
Wear comfortable, soft, breathable materials. Please do not wear anything too baggy, as it makes it difficult for trainers to see and correct your body movements. Also wear sneakers with good support, laces (not velcro) and soles that are low to the ground (no platform-like soles).
Great! How do I sign up/register?
Registration is easy! If this is your first time registering: Go to the first time registration page and follow steps 1-3! If you have trained at our boot camps before: All you have to do is go to the returning registration page and straight to step 3!
Can I join during the middle of a boot camp?
After the first week of boot camp, typically you will be unable to join until the start of the next boot camp. You can get your FREE consultaiton and Free Trial to the boot camp. The reason for this is the first week is used to instruct new members and get them into the flow. Once we have the ball rolling, it really slows the class down to bring in new people. Showing new people the exercises also takes attention away from those who have started on the original date. What you can do in the meantime is go to hotlantabodiesfitcamp.ning.com and sign up there's tons of content, from workouts, to nutrition, "how to" videos as well as motivation and inspiration that you can do on your own until the next phase of boot camp. These are similar exercises we use in our camps and programs this is a great preparation for the work you will do with us.
